In ancient times, the royal roads, carriageways, “burdibides” (cart tracks) and “andabides” (the routes along which coffins were carried) linked communities and peoples.
Today these paths offer us an opportunity to stroll along and stop and chat to the people who live beside them, and discover the myriad of natural treasures and secrets from the past hidden along the way.
Such is the case with GR TRAIL 280 URIBE. It offers 137 well-signposted kilometres, divided into 7 stages which take you through each of the 24 towns and villages of the region, and introduce you to the rich heritage linked to these lines of communication which we have inherited from our forefathers.
